Hey guys,
For those of you who attended yesterday’s guest speaker discussion, I’m curious as to your impressions and opinions.
I want to thank all the speakers for volunteering their time to come and speak with us.
A very special thanks to,
Imam Ansari
Cantor Perlmann
Father Najim
Pastor Kohl
A few of you asked some questions but unfortunately we ran out time. What were some other questions you may have had, but didn’t have time to ask?
I wanted to ask about the racist comment thing. Like if Cantor Perlamnn was in a public area and he wasn't wearing a yamica, or however you spell it, and he heard a racist comment about the jews how would he react? Would he say something or would he ignore it? If he would say something what would he say?
ReplyDeleteI thought this guest speaker discussing thing was a great idea and I think that they should do this for all the public schools. The schools should do this for the 5th or 6th graders because starting out early could stop racist comments later on when people start to get that "attitude" and before people get to highschool and drama starts. It could stop the racist comments or it could just be an attempt.
First off, I would like to agree that this is a good idea, not just for Pilgrim, but everywhere. It would make a difference, or at least make some people think about having prejudiced attitudes.
ReplyDeleteThe only question I would ask, which may sound stupid, would be to ask if there was one thing that they had to change about their religion, what they would change. No one agrees with everything in their religion, and it would be interesting to see what religious leaders would change.
